Every prospective buyer of a Nuvi model 26xx (and 2599) should take advantage of all the Amazon Nuvi reviews categorized as “Most Helpful,” to understand their features and pros/cons. Collectively, I believe they are the Best (and most honest) source of information BEFORE You Buy. They also address most everything else about these models that I have omitted.
Conversely, the best sources AFTER You Buy, are two GPS user forums: You will have to do a simple Internet search for “Gpsreview” forum, and “POI-factory” forum, to find them. [Amazon might delete the full, specific addresses.]. Both have the largest Garmin user followings on the Internet, and are filled with experienced owners who love to help others solve their Nuvi issues. Ask away, and you will feel welcome at both sites. Most of what I know about Nuvis came from them!
