The NP-100v12 is a simple headphone amplifier that allows an entry level builder to experience assembling and listening to their own creation. This amplifier can take on many shapes and sizes; I especially like when builders reuse older devices as cases and even recycle some components from various discarded power supplies. I try to keep price at a minimum because this amplifier is very basic and allows the builder to seek out theory, and actually “listen” to their music, and grow to build more complex projects in the future.

The UART Plug contains a hardware serial port with 64-byte buffers for both sending and receiving. It can support baud rates up to 115200 baud, though this will probably tax the bus through which it is being accessed.

An I2C bus running at 3.3V is used as interconnect, with all the power and signal lines brought out to to both sides of the board to allow daisy-chaining with other I2C-conformant boards.

The two solder jumpers on the board allow up to four UART Plugs to be used together on the same I2C bus.

This box has a wooden dowel rod to hold the spools in place and let them spin, and there are little punch-outs you can pass the wire through so its it’ll stay nice organized.
